Stand Up for Kids in Your County
CASA Volunteers are special people who represent the needs of children - and only the children - in court cases involving abuse or neglect. They serve as the eyes and ears of the judge, gathering relevant information about the child and the family, and then make recommendations to the judge regarding what is in the child's best interests. Learn more about becoming a CASA volunteer.
Every child needs a hero, but abused children need superheroes! And on April 12, 2013, you’ll have an opportunity to be that hero for a child. CASA is hosting a 5K fun run at 8AM. View flyers, the registration website, or call for additional details.

Informational meetings on becoming a Court Appointed Special Advocate will be held on June 13, 2013 in the Hirsch room at the Cape Girardeau Public Library at 12:00 pm and 5:30 pm.
CASA volunteers are consistent, caring adults who advocate for the best interest of the child. Volunteers are interviewed, screened, and trained to serve children in Bollinger, Perry and Cape Girardeau counties who have been victims of abuse or neglect. CASA volunteers are assigned one or two cases at a time, which allows them time to focus on getting to know the child(ren)’s wants and needs. We are currently only able to serve about 1/3 of the children who need our help due to a shortage of volunteers.
For more information about CASA of Southeast Missouri please join us on June 13.
